#195 The Underworld and The Underworld Within (with Robert Macfarlane)

This week I spoke with Robert Macfarlane. Robert is a writer and a Fellow of Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He is known for his books on landscape, nature, place, people and language. He is author of Underland and Mountains of the Mind: A History of a Fascination. This is a beautiful and fascinating episode. Robert is an incredible writer and investigator into the natural world. He writes beautifully about our relationship with the underworld. We discuss Robert’s adventures into the world beneath us, the psychological and mythic correlations, our obsession with conquering nature, and our need to recognise the sacred in the world around us.
